Concerning Your Wedding:
The marriage ceremony is one of the most sacred of all rituals of the church. It is never merely a social event; it is always a rite in which two persons pledge themselves to each other under the blessings of God and are united in holy marriage.
It is the desire of Irving North Christian Church, the minister and staff, to make your wedding a memorable event--beautiful and meaningful. We realize that today many people want a church wedding but are not active members of a church. We also realize that many people may be looking for a location convenient for family. At Irving North we offer our facility for members and non-members alike.
What We Offer:
INCC is conveniently located in Irving. Our Sanctuary holds approximately 180 to 200 people. We have a Bride's room located in the front foyer of the Sanctuary that can be used by the bride and her party. Larger rooms in the Education Building are available if more space is needed. Rooms in the Education Building are also available for the Groom and his party. (The Sanctuary and Education Building are connected by a covered walkway in case of inclement weather). There is also a newly redecorated Fellowship Hall in the Education Building that is available for receptions.

Package #1 - For members of the church who want a wedding but no on-site reception.

Package #2 - For members of the church who want a wedding with a reception in the fellowship hall.
Deposit: $100

Package #3 - For non-members who want a wedding but no on-site reception.
Deposit: $500
Building Use Fee: $300
Custodial Fee: $75

Copies of the new wedding policy are available in the Church Office.
("Member" is understood to mean that the bride, groom, or a parent of either is a supporting member of Irving North Christian Church).
**For members there is no set fee for the Minister's services; however it is customary that an honorarium be given.
These fees are set by the Property Committe and subject to change. Please contact the church for the latest fees.
Setting the Date:
Before announcements are prepared you must reserve the date on the calendar with the minister and the church. Please contact:
1. Senior Pastor Rev. John Burton.
2. The church secretary: The official calendar of the church is kept by the secretary. Remember to reserve the date you want as early as possible. The church is not obligated to honor a reservation unless it has been placed on the official calendar, a wedding form has been completed by the bride and groom, AND a deposit has been made.
Other Requirements:
The minister of Irving North shall be in charge of all ceremonies. Families may request another minister assist with the ceremony. In keeping with the ethics of the ministry, it is our minister's prerogative to extend the invitation to the other minister. The INCC minister is always in complete charge of arrangements and procedures.
The minister requires couples to participate in a period of pre-marriage counseling. During these sessions he has an opportunity to become acquainted with the couple, to identify and explore with the couple possible areas of difficulty, and to plan the actual wedding ceremony.
Wedding Consultants are not required. If one is used it should be understood that the minister is in charge of the ceremony. Music use can be discussed with the minister and church organist. The church organist is available by special arrangements with him/her. Guest organists and soloists are welcome upon approval of the church musical director. Flash photography is not permitted during the actual ceremony. Professional photographers can discuss there requests with the minister. Videotaping is permitted as long as it does not interfere with the ceremony. Videographers should consult with the minister about requests. Florists should discuss their floral/candle/decoration requests with the minister. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on church property. Smoking is not permitted inside the buildings.
