Children: We use a rotational model geared towards children from K-5th grades.
Youth: For 6th grade through high school. Meets in the youth room
Adult: Currently our adult Sunday school class is currently working through the Old Testament, discussing how it relates to our Christian life today.
Our traditional service is Sunday mornings in the Sanctuary, starting at 1050. We don't think traditional has to mean boring or you have to dress a certain way. Traditional describes the format, not the relevance. For children age 5 yrs to 2nd grade we offer Children's church in the Education Building after the Children's Moment. Parents decide which service they would like their child to attend.
Both services include professional nursery staff: Parents must check their children in and out as well as provide any allergy information.
CYF (9th-12th grade), Chi-Rho (6th-8th grade), JYF (3rd-5th grade). All groups regularly meet for fellowship, fun, and service on Wednesday Evenings. We begin with a brown bag dinner at 6:00pm and we end at 8:00pm.
Young Adults: A group that gets together regularly by going out to eat, bowling, catch a movie, or whatever else comes to mind.
Christian Women's Fellowship (CWF): A dynamic group of women who meet on the third Tuesday evening every month to enjoy study, food, fun, and fellowship. Meetings start with dinner at 6:30 pm, followed by Bible study at 7:00 pm. For information contact Cindy Payton @ 817-498-1742.
Christian Men's Fellowship (CMF): A group of men who enjoy sharing breakfast, ideas, and hard work. They also organize parking for The Bryon Nelson Golf Tournament. Please join us for breakfast monthly on the second Saturday of the month (the first time is free). For information call Roger Baxter @ 972-986-5239.
Supper Clubs: We have several groups that are ongoing that meet to have dinner together at least monthly
Caregivers: This group provides support for our faith community in times of need. We provides transportation for doctor appointments, free use of crutches and other small medical equipment, and help with providing meals on a short term basis.
Bereavement: The church provides meals and assistance to families whose loved ones have passed away
Currently one of the fastest growing parts of our church. In addition to giving financial support to several ministries, we also engage in outreach ministries right here in our own community. Some outreach ministries include:
Souper Bowl of Caring: www.souperbowl.org Each year our youth group gathers money and food on Super Bowl Sunday to donate to local charities
Irving Cares: www.irvingcares.org INCC has long supported Irving Cares which helps Irving residents in need of emergency assistance.
Playground: our playground equipment as well as the back of our property are regularly used by people in the surrounding community.
Poverty and Homeless issues: INCC is active in the community working on poverty and homeless issues through the Irving Poverty and Homeless Coalition, The Irving Human Services Council, community advocacy, and community partnerships.
We have future opportunities coming in education and transitional housing
Women: Our women’s Bible study meets each Thursday night @ 7:00 at the church
Adult: Our Adult Bible study meets each Wednesday night from 7:00-8:15 at the church
The choir for people who enjoy singing! If you like to sing then we'd like to have you in our choir. We have a fun-loving group of singers and there is room for more! Rehearsal times are from 7:00–8:15 pm on Wednesday nights. Childcare is provided. If you are interested in participating, contact Scott Thompson at 940-369-3080
A Time to get connected to God and to each other! Each Wednesday night we gather for Bible study, youth group, and other family activities starting with a brown bag dinner @ 6:30 pm.
Byron Nelson: Each year our parking lots fill up when the Byron Nelson comes to town. We provide shuttle service during the event. This serves as a major fundraiser for our church each spring.
Trunk or Treat: each fall around Halloween we host a community wide “Trunk or Treat” where we welcome the community to our church to enjoy games, food, and a chance to trick or treat at the decorated trunks of the cars of our members.
City of Irving Parades: Each year the City of Irving puts on 2 parades around 4th of July and in December. Our church looks forward to these opportunities to be involved in the community.
Poverty Simulation: Our church is hosting an event geared toward youth (3rd-12th grades) that will be an eye opening experience. Youths will be given an opportunity to simulate what it’s like to be homeless as we try to connect local poverty and global poverty issues.
Lighted Nativity: Each Christmas our front lawn is brightly lit with a fully lighted nativity scene that adds to the special season.
